Problem:
A northeastern U.S. pharmaceutical manufacturer sometimes found nails, bolts or other tramp iron in the pancreas glands it used to make insulin.
Solution:

Plate Magnets were installed over a conveyor leading to a grinder. Product purity was improved by the complete removal of tramp iron. Also, damage to the grinder cone, worm and cutter was eliminated.
